On July 14, 2004, to support Falun Gong practitioners from Australia who were attacked by a gunman in South Africa on June 28, 2004, a press conference was held in Taichung, Taiwan in front of Taichung Train Station to condemn the Jiang faction's hiring assassins to attack people overseas.
