Published on 6/30/2004 On the day of June 29, 2004, at noon, nearly 150 Falun Gong practitioners from the Greater New York City area rallied at the Chinese Consulate and held a press conference to condemn the shooting incident in South Africa. Practitioners strongly condemned Zeng Qinghong (Chinese Deputy Premier) and Bo Xilai (Chinese Minister of Commerce) for hiring gunmen to shoot Falun Gong practitioners and using state terror methods to prevent practitioners from filing legal papers charging them with crimes against Falun Gong.
Published on 7/2/2004 On the morning of June 30, dozens of Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners rallied outside the Chinese Liaison Office and held a press conference protesting Jiang’s followers hiring gunmen to shoot Falun Gong practitioners in South Africa. Practitioners also went to the front entrance of the Liaison Office to read a press statement, in which practitioners pointed out how this incident revealed Jiang’s acts of exporting state terrorism to other countries.
Published on 7/2/2004 On the evening of June 28,2004 upon hearing that gunmen in South Africa had attempted to kill Falun Gong practitioners supporting the lawsuit against the visiting human rights violators Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai, Belgian Falun Gong practitioners took action immediately. On the morning of June 30, they went to the Chinese consulate in Brussels and strongly condemned Jiang’s act of terror. Shocked by news of the incident in South Africa, people visiting the consulate on business, especially the overwhelming majority of Chinese people, one after another accepted the flyers distributed by the practitioners.

Published on 7/2/2004 At 1 p.m. of June 29, 2004, upon hearing the horrific incident of hiring thugs to shoot Falun Gong practitioners during Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong and Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai’s South Africa visit, Toronto Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate to strongly condemn the terrorist act of Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai, who are important political followers of Jiang Zemin during the persecution of Falun Gong and apparently behind this assassination.
Published on 7/3/2004 The gunman’s bullets punctured the tires from behind and broke the cooling radiator. The engine overheated because of the water leaking, it slowed down and eventually stopped running. The practitioners’ car slowed down, the gunmen’s car overtook the practitioners’ car and shot at them as they were driving parallel. The gunmen tried to force the practitioners’ car off the road with their car. Bullets went through driver Mr. David Liang’ feet and shattered the heel bones in his right foot. Given that he could no longer step on the brakes, his car went off the road. The car went over a water channel about 1.5 feet wide and 1 foot deep, and passed through knee-high grass at a still high speed. The car stopped after about 100 feet. The gunman stopped his car and watched the practitioners’ car for a few seconds after the practitioners’ car drove off the highway, and then the gunman took off.
Published on 7/3/2004 Irish practitioners held a peaceful appeal outside of the Chinese Embassy. The appeal lasted two days, starting on June 29, 2004 and ending with a press conference on the afternoon of the 30th. The practitioners hoped to let more members of the public know about Jiang’s campaign of state terrorism in China and his attempts to export this persecution to the west. They called for the international community to join them in calling for an end to the crimes against humanity committed by Jiang and his regime.
Published on 7/4/2004 The drive-by shooting incident that took place on the evening of June 28 in South Africa has aroused intensive attention from the international community. On the afternoon of July 3, 2004, a public rally sponsored by the Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice (GCBJJ), the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), and Press Freedom and Human Rights League (PFHRL) and cosponsored by more than ten non-governmental and non-profit organizations was held in front of the White House, calling for a stop to Jiang’s group’s overseas extension of state-run terrorism.
Published on 7/4/2004 Practitioners in Japan gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy at noon on June 29, 2004 to condemn the Jiang group’s terrorists acts. Practitioners unfurled banners facing to the Chinese Embassy with the words, "Falun Dafa is great" and "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice". The activity lasted until 10 pm. On June 30, practitioners unfurled a banner with the words, "Zeng Qinghong hired gunmen to shoot Falun Gong practitioners." Some practitioners from Australia also joined the activity. On July 1, practitioners continued their appeal to strongly condemn the Jiang group’s state-terrorism.
Published on 7/5/2004 On June 28, 2004, when the Chinese Vice-President Zeng Qinghong, who has closely followed Jiang Zemin to persecute Falun Gong practitioners over the past few years, was visiting South Africa, a Falun Gong practitioner was shot in a drive-by attack near Johannesburg. The incident immediately aroused attention and condemnation from the international community.
Published on 7/5/2004 On the morning of July 3, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners from Denmark and Malmo, a nearby city in Sweden, held a press conference at the Chinese embassy in Copenhagen, strongly condemning the Jiang group’s latest act of terrorism. During Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai’s visit to South Africa, nine Falun Gong practitioners from Australia travelled to South Africa to appeal for Falun Gong and were shot at. In no way was the shooting incident accidental. This was an act of state terrorism.

Published on 7/9/2004 On July 8, 2004, the Russian Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in the "Independent Press Center" of Moscow. During the press conference, practitioners exposed that the Jiang regime hired thugs to shoot practitioners in order to avoid legal action against Zeng Qinghong. Zeng, the Chinese vice-president, was visiting South Africa when the shooting happened.

Published on 7/16/2004 On July 14, 2004, to support Falun Gong practitioners from Australia who were attacked by a gunman in South Africa on June 28, 2004, a press conference was held in Taichung, Taiwan in front of Taichung Train Station to condemn the Jiang faction’s hiring assassins to attack people overseas.
Published on 8/24/2004 Four representatives from the Malaysia Falun Dafa Research Center delivered a memorandum to the South Africa Embassy in Malaysia on August 20, 2004, regarding the South Africa shooting incident targeting Australian practitioners on June 28. Zeng Qinghong, a member of Jiang’s faction, is suspected of being a behind-the-scene instigator. It is hoped that the South African government will expedite the investigation into the case.
