On April 5, 2002, the Melbourne China Research Society in Australia held a Falun Gong Seminar. Over 40 members of the group attended the seminar. Mr. Matthew Noonan of the History Department of University of Melbourne made a keynote speech entitled "Exploring Falun Gong, a medicinal and spiritual practice."
