Published on 10/22/2003 --On October 21 at 3pm, Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in the Legislative Building to expose the illegal detention of Taiwanese Lin Xiaokai by the China Shanghai Public Security Bureau. Practitioners pointed out that the case of Lin Xiaokai is not an isolated incident. The Falun Dafa Association made three statements at the press conference.

Published on 10/26/2003 Taiwan: Press conference was held just prior to the release of Lin Hsiaokai.Lin Chongmo, Legislative Member of Democratic Progressive Party came to give his support. Lin Hsiaokai was detained by China’ national security bureau during his travel in China because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. News came Tuesday of his release and return to China.

Published on 10/30/2003 "Protect Taiwan’s Human Rights, Stop Savage -- Round Island Bike Tour" east route arrived in Keelung on the afternoon of October 28. The following day, participants held a press conference at Keelung Culture Center at 10:00 a.m. The Mayor of Keelung City, Legislative Committee members, council members and representatives from different walks of the society were paying attention to this event and eight representatives gave the supportive speech at the press conference. They affirmed the principle of Falun Dafa "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" and many expressed their interest in learning Falun Dafa.

Published on 12/25/2003 Japan: Yoko Kaneko holds press conference in Tokyo to reveal her experience in China-After she was arrested, Yoko Kaneko said that she had then sufferedall kinds of physical and mental torture in jail, labor camp, and a hospital designated by the Jiang regime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. In labor camp, she and other practitioners were forced to attend brainwashing sessions, in which they were not allowed to sleep for prolonged time. Some were only allowed to sleep for about 1 or 2 hours, some were deprived of the right to sleep completely, some were even not allowed to sleep for more than 20 days. Besides this, the guards used all kinds of torture methods. Everyday from about 5am to 10pm, she was put to work to produce slave products. In such a grim environment, her health situation deteriorated quickly. Her blood pressure skyrocketed, she later lost her eyesight for quick a while. Because her arms were tied from the back for long time, even 1 month after her return to Japan, she still can’t raise them high up. Hers eyes are still very sensitive to lights.
