On Saturday March 27,2004, a UM faculty member and a student--both Falun Gong practitioners--were invited to make a presentation to the Asian medical students. The all-day fair began with CNN reporter Dr. Sanjay Gupta M.D. giving a keynote address. After this the attendees took in information from several booths exhibiting displays about different aspects of Asian culture, healing, and medical issues. Falun Gong practitioners set up a table with information about the practice and gave out information about the ongoing persecution in China.
