Nearly seven hundred Falun Gong practitioners from around the world attended the 2004 Hong Kong Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference that was held on May 1, 2004 in Kowloon. On May 2, hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners gathered at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay and practiced the exercises together. They also formed two huge Chinese characters, "Righteous Enlightenment." In the afternoon, they marched from Victoria Park to the Chinese Liaison Office, protesting China's five-year persecution of Falun Gong and urging an immediate end to the persecution.
