Published on 12/23/2001 On December 18, 2001, Ms. Karen McCoy Oliver, the mayor of Township of Hillside, and the City Council issued a proclamation condemning the Jiang Zemin regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The proclamation said that the Jiang Zemin regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is trampling human rights and freedom, and should be condemned.

Published on 1/5/2002 Falun Gong practitioners went to the beautiful Tasmania University with an appointment, and visited Ms. Anna Alomes, who teaches there and is a member of the Non-Violent Movement Association. Ms. Alomes warmly invited the practitioners to lunch, and when the practitioners were going to decline, she said, "This is to express my welcome for your coming to Tasmania for "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Week." Ms. Alomes handed a bright yellow rose to one practitioner, and said, "Please accept the most beautiful rose from my garden."

FoFG’s mission is to support the freedom of belief of persons who practice Falun Gong. FoFG’s efforts include large-scale rallies in Washington DC, lawsuits aginst the architects of the persecution, and smaller, targeted projects counteracting the Chinese government��s massive propaganda campaign.

These two resolutions are the Senate’s SR 41 resolution, passed on February 20th, and the House of Delegates’ HJ 541 resolution on January 27.
