Published on 9/2/2003 Mr. Zhao Yingqi was 59 years old. His family lived in apartment 3 on the second floor of building 84, and in apartment 20 on the fifteenth floor of building 77 in the Nanfan’gezhuang Mine residential area. Because Mr. Zhao Yingqi remained committed to practicing Falun Gong, he was illegally detained in Tangshan City’s Hehuakeng Labor Camp from November 20 until he was tortured to death on December 30, 2002. Published on 9/7/2003 On October 11, 2002, police officers from Shuncheng District Police Department in Fushun City, Liaoning Province arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Chenyan. She was detained at No. 2 Detention Center, where she was brutally tortured. She was sent once to a hospital for emergency treatment. On August 7, 2003, she was at the verge of death. In order to shift the responsibility, the authorities at No. 2 Detention Center transferred Liu Chengyan to Shenyang City Female Prison to be further persecuted. The photo shows scars in her hands due to torture.

Published on 9/8/2003 Ms. Chen was shocked with electric batons while in detention. As a result, she had blisters all over her body. Even after two months, there were still scars on her body.

Published on 9/10/2003 Mr. Zhang Xiaohong (also called Zhang Zhaohong), was a resident of Nanbu County, Sichuan Province, and was only 29 years old when he died. For clarifying the truth of Dafa to people, he was arrested and severely tortured by the Mianyang Xinhua Forced Labor Camp where his weight dropped from over 60 kg to approximately 32 kg. He died at 7:00 p.m. on August 4.

Because of the tortures, his weight dropped from over 60 kg to approximately 32 kg. He died at 7:00 p.m. on August 4, 2003.
