Published on 7/5/2002 On July 3, 2002, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., 200 Falun Gong practitioners from more than ten countries and regions gathered at the Chater Garden to hold a peaceful appeal. The practitioners openly appealed to the Hong Kong government to not succumb to the pressure from Jiang’s dictatorship, but to respect Hong Kong’s human rights and rule of law, safeguard the Hong Kong people’s fundamental interests and treat Falun Gong with justice and rationality.

Published on 11/9/2002 The Hong Kong Legislature held the first public hearing on legislation based on Article 23 of Basic Law on November 7, 2002. From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., over one hundred Falun Gong practitioners held a sit-in protest in Chater Gardens. They protested the legislation that extends the Jiang regime’s persecution to Hong Kong. The practitioners also sent forth righteous thoughts intensively to eliminate evil factors in other dimensions behind the persecution
