Published on 4/29/2002 JAKARTA, April 25 - A group of Indonesian Falun Gong practitioners on Thursday filed a lawsuit through their attorney Adi Warman at South Jakarta District Court against the Chinese embassy in Jakarta. The charges include: the Chinese embassy had interfered with the experience sharing conference hosted by the Indonesian Falun Dafa Association on March 2 and 3 and forced themselves into the conference room; the Chinese embassy also sent letters slandering Falun Dafa to the Indonesian Foreign Minister, President, Minister of Politics and Social Affairs, Attorney General and Governor of Jakarta Province with fabricated charges that resulted in the cancellation of a legitimate parade and letter forming activities arranged for experience sharing conference
Published on 3/19/2003 March 18,2003 Tuesday, Geneva -- A Switzerland-based international non-governmental organization, "Track Impunity Always," and the Swiss Falun Dafa Association jointly conducted a press conference at the Hotel Cornavin in downtown Geneva to announce that they will file a lawsuit in Switzerland against the former President of China, Jiang Zemin. Jiang Zemin will be sued for torture, genocide, and other crimes against humanity.
Published on 4/4/2003 During Jiang’s state visit to Germany in 2002, Falun Gong practitioners’ constitutional rights were infringed upon by German federal agents and the Berlin police. Recently, Falun Gong practitioners from different countries are planning to file lawsuits against the German federal police’s actions to the administrative courts in Berlin and other areas. The goal of the lawsuits is to establish facts of human rights transgressions against Falun Gong practitioners during Jiang’s state visit in Germany in April 2002, so as to prevent such acts in the future.
Published on 4/15/2003 At a little past 2 p.m. local time in Chicago on April 14, 2003, plaintiff’s attorney Terri Marsh, representing Falun Gong practitioners in the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office", arrived at the U.S. District Court of Northern Illinois in downtown Chicago. She delivered documents citing evidence of crimes by Jiang and the "610 Office" and other documents required by the legal procedure, successfully concluding this step of the judicial process.

Published on 7/3/2003 At 1:30 p.m. on July 2, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners and an attorney from the CJA (Center for Justice & Accountability) held a press conference in front of the Federal District Court of the Northern San Francisco. The press conference announced that San Francisco Judge Edward M. Chen recently denied foreign sovereign immunity to former Beijing Mayor, Beijing Party Secretary Liu Qi and Deputy Governor of Liaoning Province Xia Deren. In a report Judge Chen submitted to the court, both Chinese officials were found guilty of overseeing the torture of Falun Gong practitioners. The press conference also informed the media of the lawsuit underway against former Chinese leader Jiang for genocide and crimes against humanity.
Published on 7/17/2003 On the July 17, 2003, Swiss Dafa practitioners, in order to commemorate their fellow practitioners who lost their lives during the persecution in China over the past four years, held a press conference in the capital, Bern, and marched toward the Chinese embassy to protest the brutal persecution and suppression of Falun Gong.
Published on 7/21/2003 On July 16 and 17, 2003, Toronto Falun Gong practitioners put on puppet shows entitled, "Bringing Jiang to Justice in the Court of Conscience and Morality" several times on the streets, in front of the Chinese Consulate and Queens Park (home of the Ontario Provincial Government) to support bringing Jiang to justice in the court of conscience and public opinion.
Published on 7/21/2003 On July 19,2003, Falun Gong practitioners from around the world converged on Washington DC, the capital of the United States, to hold a series of events to call attention of the crimes that Jiang has committed over the past four years in persecuting Falun Gong, and to call upon society to bring Jiang to justice. A truck covered in large posters about bringing Jiang to justice slowly toured around Washington D.C. This is one of the many ways that practitioners are asking for public support to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and to bring Jiang to justice.

Published on 8/17/2003 The repression of Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office" he created is persecution against human beings’ kind nature, and is an attempt to destroy the core value of mankind’s morality, "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." On August 16, Falun Gong practitioners from the San Francisco Bay area went to the Garden Corner in San Francisco Chinatown and conducted a public mock trial of the chief criminal of the persecution, Jiang Zemin. On that day, constant streams of crowds passed by the Garden Corner. The public mock trial attracted much attention from the passersby.
Published on 8/20/2003 On August 20,2003, a criminal lawsuit charging the former Chinese Communist leader, Jiang Zemin with the crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity and state directed torture, was submitted to federal prosecutors by six Falun Gong practitioners residing in Belgium. Two of Jiang’s senior-most accomplices, Luo Gan (the head of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee) and Li Lanqing (the former director of the "610 office") are also named in the lawsuit.

Published on 9/28/2003 On September 25,2003, at Parliament Hill and the Canadian Supreme Court in Ottawa, the Capital of Canada, several hundred Falun Gong practitioners from Toronto and supporters held a grand rally, a parade and staged a symbolic trial to try the chief perpetrator, Jiang Zemin, who launched the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners also called on the Canadian Premier, who plans to visit China, to help rescue their family members who are being persecuted in China and help end the four-year-long persecution.

Published on 10/23/2003 On 19th October, a local rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in Sydney marked the launch of "The Global Coalition To Bring Jiang To Justice." 300 people from all circles attended the rally. This initiative is an international alliance organized by those who have suffered persecution under Jiang Zemin’s dictatorship. It is dedicated to protecting the future of humanity with the purpose of stopping persecution and genocide in its tracks. A symbolic trial was conducted in front of the Chinese embassy, and several speakers representing organizations that joined the coalition gave speeches. After the speeches, they marched from the Chinese embassy to Chinatown and held another rally.

Published on 11/27/2003 In the afternoon of November 26, 2003 at 1 pm, the Global Coalition to Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice held a rally outside the Hague International Court. The coalition submitted printed materials about the lawsuit against Jiang from different countries to the first judge of the International Court and requested to try Jiang. The attendees came from Holland, Switzerland, Germany and Israel. This is the sixth public rally organized by Global Coalition following similar rallies in Paris, Munich, Frankfort, Cologne, and Berlin.

Published on 12/27/2003 On the morning of December 26, 2003, the Korean Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in the Plaza Hotel of Seoul and announced that the Seoul Local Court had formally accepted the Genocide Lawsuit against Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan.
Published on 1/14/2004 Practitioners in Korea performed a "Symbolic International Trial of Jiang Zemin" that toured around the country, startin in Seoul on December 7, 2003. This is part of a series of activities in cooperation with Falun Gong practitioners around the world and human right groups to bring Jiang to trial in the international court.
Published on 4/13/2004 At 3 pm on April 7, 2004, renowned Chinese Australian artist and Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Cuiying filed a Petition to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights via human rights attorney Mr. Christ Nyst. The Petition is against Jiang Zemin who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Mr. Christopher Nyst is the lawyer acting on Ms. Zhang’s behalf. This is the first case of a suit being filed by an individual to United Nations on the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Published on 4/19/2004 On the afternoon of April 16, 2004, the Transnational Radical Party, a permanent international non-governmental organization in the Geneva United Nations Office, held a special topic meeting regarding genocide. During the meeting, a Swiss attorney representative Ms. Boone announced a lawsuit against the Assistant Director of the Chinese Anti-Cult Association, Wang Yusheng. This was the second lawsuit prepared by Swiss Falun Gong practitioners against a Chinese government official. The first one was initiated in 2003 against the former Chinese President Jiang.
Published on 4/25/2004 On April 22, 2004, Bo Xilai, the Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, was sued by Falun Gong practitioners for genocide, torture and crime against humanity to United States District Court of the District of Columbia during his visit to the United States. Many major media worldwide reported this incident.

Bo was accompanying Chinese President Hu Jintao to visit 4 nations of Europe and Asia, and Poland was their first stop.

Published on 7/4/2004 On July 2, 2004, at 3:20 p.m. in Paris, on behalf of three Falun Gong practitioners, attorney Delva filed a complaint to the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris, against Li Changchun, for being an accomplice to torture in the persecution of Falun Gong. Li Changchun , who is currently visiting Paris, is a Politburo Standing Committee Member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee and former Party Committee Secretary of Guangdong Province.
Published on 7/12/2004 In order to allow more people to learn about the truth and to stop the persecution as soon as possible, Falun Gong practitioners in Korea held a series of activities to clarify the truth. On July 10, 2004, in Jongmyo Park, practitioners in the Seoul area held activities including memorial ceremony to mourn for fellow practitioners who have died from the persecution, an anti-torture exhibit, a symbolic trial of the chief perpetrator Jiang Zemin and group practice.

Published on 8/9/2004 On August 5, 2004, Sydney Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in front of the Federal Court to publicize the lawsuit filed against Chinese State Councilor Chen Zhili during her visit to Tanzania for extra judicial killing and torturing Falun Gong practitioners in the circle of education in China. Chen was the first Chinese official sued by Falun Gong practitioners and summoned to appear before court.

Attorney Carlos Iglesias filed the lawsuit on behalf of practitioners, charging Jia with grave crimes against humanity committed during the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China while he was Communist Party Secretary General of Beijing.

Published on 10/27/2004 On 10/26/04, New Zealand Human Rights barrister Chris Lawrence, representing 11 Falun Gong practitioners, filed a civil lawsuit in the Auckland High Court in New Zealand, to accuse chief culprits in the persecution of Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin and his accomplices, of arresting and physically abusing the plaintiffs when they went to China to visit relatives or paid visits for other purposes. The charges include genocide, torture, illegal arrest and others.
Published on 11/10/2004 What was the "Wall of Hate"? Beginning in early 2003, every person who went to Chinese Consulate in Toronto would see the more than ten gruesome photos and slanderous material that filled up the entire wall inside the Visa Office. The wall was covered with propaganda photos and materials contrived to demonize Falun Gong. The wall of hate was used by Jiang’s faction to attack Falun Gong practitioners. It forced people from around the world who came to visit the consulate to obtain visas and passports to be exposed to hate propaganda while waiting in line.
Published on 11/14/2004 On 11/12/04, Vancouver Falun Dafa practitioners held a press conference and formally filed a request with the Canadian Chief Prosecutor to sue five Chinese Communist Officials, including Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang and Li Lanqing based on Canada’s Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Act.
Published on 11/16/2004 On November 15, 2004, Toronto Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference to announce a civil lawsuit to be filed with Canada’s Ontario Supreme Court against Chinese officials including Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Wang Maolin and others who are mainly responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong.

These lawsuits follow Professor Zhang Kunlun’s lawsuit against Jiang and 21 other persecutors for torture.

It is understood that late last night lawyers representing the Chinese group were also considering other avenues of pursuing their objective of having Mr Ju arrested."

In the lawsuit, the lawyers have requested that the prosecutor issue international arrest warrants for Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan and bring these prime culprits before the Bolivian courts.

Published on 12/6/2004 On 12/3/04, the Dutch Falun Dafa Association held a press conference regarding the legal action against Jiang Zemin, Bo Xilai and Li Lanqing for crimes of genocide. The practitioner’s attorney, Ms. Liesbeth Zegveld pointed out that national boundaries should not restrict the ability to ascertain responsibility for those who have committed genocide. This matter has affected the entire world, and if all countries take the same actions, the criminals will have nowhere to hide.

Published on 12/20/2004 On 12/16/04, Mrs. Faucherie, an examining magistrate at the Court of Justice in Paris, decided to send an International Letters Rogatory to China. This follows two complaints filed in December 2002 and January 2004 respectively against the former Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing and the current Chinese Minister of Culture Sun Jiazheng.

They announced that Communist Party Secretary of Beijing Liu Qi was found guilty by the court for his role in the persecution of Falun Gong. Human rights lawyers stated that this verdict has important significance in protecting human rights and deterring crimes against humanity.

The Tiananmen Square massacre on June 4, 1989, made a big impression on Dr. Marsh and she decided to switch her major to study law. Published on 4/13/2005 During the morning of April 12, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners officially filed a lawsuit with the Osaka Local Court against former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, first vice premier of China’s State Council Li Lanqing, Head of the 610 Office Luo Gan, Deputy Governor of Liaoning Province Xia Deren and the Chinese Embassy in Japan. The lawsuit charged Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing, Luo Gan and Xia Deren with crimes of genocide, torture and crimes against humanity. The Chinese Embassy was charged with the crime of libel.

Published on 6/18/2005 On 6/13/05, Sweden renowned human rights attorney Peter Bergquist represented the Sweden Falun Dafa Assosiation sued China head Jiang Zemin and 610 officers Li Lanqing, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, and accused that they participated in the murder, torture and kidnap Falun Gong practitioners.
Published on 7/22/2005 On Tuesday July 19th 2005, the eve of the 6th anniversary since Falun Gong was banned in China on July 20th 1999, Mr. Georges-Henri Beauthier, a prestigious human rights lawyer, filed a lawsuit on behalf of two Falun Gong practitioners in Brussels. The lawsuit was for the crime of harassment and was filed against China’s 610 Office and the responsible Chinese officials including: 610 Office head and member of the Committee of Political and Legislative Affairs Luo Gan, Minister of Public Security Zhou Yongkang, Deputy Minister of Public Security Liu Jing and Minister of State Security Xu Yongyue. The lawsuit has been accepted by the Belgian court.
